We'll be gathering at Studio 505 at 505 Hamilton Street on Saturday February 6 at 9pm.

Tickets are $10 with all proceeds going to support the Vancouver Rueda Festival which is happening April 9-11, 2010.

Come out to support a great community event and enjoy a sweaty dance party as a bonus.

The Vancouver Rueda Festival, produced by Cuban Salsa Vancouver, will be taking place April 9-11, 2010. The weekend will bring a cultural explosion to Vancouver featuring live music and dance workshops with instructors from around North America including those from New York, San Francisco, and Oregon.

WORKSHOPS:

Workshops will take place at the Scotiabank Dance Centre and at the Masonic Hall. Learn from local and international instructors!

Classes include a Beginner Bootcamp on Saturday afternoon, rueda and partner dancing at all levels, son, cha cha cha, rumba, reggaeton, bodymovement, musicality...

PARTIES:

On Friday night, our welcome party will take place at the Polish Community Centre at City Salsa Vibe's Salsa Fusion Friday.

Mojitos to refresh, bumpin’ beats from DJ Julio Montero to energize.

On Saturday and Sunday, we will be shakin’ it at the beautiful Masonic Hall, which boasts an amazing view of the downtown cityscape. Performances by local and international casineros will dazzle with their many unique takes on Cuban dance. Vancouver bands Puro Son (feat. Miguelito Valdez) and Tanga will have you sweating up a storm, with DJs La Salsomana and Sergio (and some guest DJs!) keeping the timba flowing all night long.

Don't let the mountains and rain showers mislead you – under the cloud cover is a hot and steamy Cuban Salsa scene with lots of opportunities to shake it each and every week in and around the Vancouver area.

Arabian Nights - Saturday November 28, 2009
Come one, come all, to an exotic oasis that will magically appear in the heart of East Van for one night only! Costumes are strongly encouraged and the music will be flowing just as smoothly as the libations. Tickets are $10 and will include some delicious Arabian appies. Beer & wine will be available for sale (for cheap!) so please bring your cash.
This event is a fundraiser for the Vancouver Rueda Festival so please come out and help us make this event a reality!

CSV is excited to present the Vancouver Rueda Festival April 9-11, 2010. The Festival will bring Casineros (Cuban Salsa dancers) from across North America to Vancouver for three days of parties, dance workshops, live music, and more parties (did we mention that we’re going to party?!).

Whatever your level and exposure to Cuban Salsa, the Vancouver Rueda Festival will give you a unique opportunity to learn from a variety of highly skilled instructors, a meet other Casineros from around the country and celebrate the love of Cuban Salsa together.
